Marley Eternit Birkdale Slates Rig low pitch

The clever people at Marley Eternit have understood that when building a single storey rear extension to a two storey house, there is a limited height for the roof due to the first floor window sill. This often results in the permissible lowest roof pitch dictating how far the extension can extend. Well here is possibly a solution - Marley Eternit Thrutone or Birkdale, both are fibre-cement slate that can go down to a pitch as low as 15 degrees (4m max rafter length) and Marley Eternit Melodie, a clay pantile that can go down to a pitch of 12.5 degrees! Great news, and Redland also have similar low pitch products, but remember that if you wish to have rooflights, Velux only guarantee their rooflights to be weatherproof as low as 15 degrees.
